Free hip hop samples are easy to find and hard to trust, because the same samples do the rounds under new names.
This list is 11 free packs from Surge Sounds, all hip hop samples, each made from scratch by our own team.
Each entry says what is inside, how many files, and where to download it.
The hip hop sound has a few signature elements, and 808 Bass Samples covers the ones that matter.
Every sound in 808 Bass Samples was made with Travis Scott, Post Malone, Lil Nas X, J. Cole, Kodak Black & Offset in mind.
100 samples, every one of them free.

Hip hop producers go through samples faster than any other sound, so a fresh set matters. That is Hip Hop Drum Kit.
41 samples is the headline, with 28 loops beside them.
Use it on anything you release, there are no royalties attached.

Put simply, Free Osama is the pack to have when you want an OsamaSon drum kit ready to drop into a beat.
The download holds rage 808s, hard kicks, sharp hi-hats and rolls, snares, and claps, nothing filler.
Surge Sounds made Free Drum Kits 2 as one free download, dusty kicks, cracking snares, claps, hats and percussion as one-shots, plus swung drum loops cut for sample-based hip hop.
Each sound was designed and mixed by the Surge Sounds team.

Of all the free packs on Surge Sounds, Free Yaet is the one that fits this list best.
If you make beats in the Yeat lane, this kit was built for you.
It is 100% royalty-free, no credit and no cut on anything you release.
Free Carson is the Surge Sounds take on a Ken Carson drum kit, made from scratch rather than resampled.
The sounds were made by the Surge Sounds team, start to finish.
You get rage 808s, hard kicks, sharp hi-hats and rolls, snares, and claps, cut to drop into FL Studio, Ableton or Logic.
It costs nothing, so there is no reason not to add it to your library.
If you're looking for a free Playboi Carti drum kit, Free Boi is the one to grab.
Everything in Free Boi was made in-house by Surge Sounds.
The whole pack takes its cue from Playboi Carti, built in the style of his productions.
It works in FL Studio, Ableton or Logic, and in any DAW that reads WAV.
Hip hop lives on its loops, and Free Hip Hop was made with that in mind.
Inside Free Hip Hop you get drum one-shots, 808s, hats and percussion, melody and chord loops, vocal shots and FX, all royalty-free WAV.
The files are named with key and tempo, so nothing needs re-pitching or stretching before it sits in the beat.
Built for hip hop, but nothing stops it from landing in a different style.

Free Loop Kit made this list on the strength of its loops.
You get 35 loops plus 8 samples in one free download.
Included in Free Loop Kit
Free Loops earns its spot on this list by doing one thing well, loops with nothing padded out.
That is 53 loops to start with plus 32 samples.
Every loop and one-shot was made by the Surge Sounds team and named with key and tempo, so it lands in the arrangement first try.
The loops are where this pack earns its keep.
Included in Free Loops
Surge Sounds put Free Metro together as a complete free kit, booming 808s, crisp hi-hats and rolls, snares, and claps.
The result is a beat that sounds like Metro Boomin from the first bar.
Hopefully this list helped you find new hip hop samples to build with.
